Brudenell Social Club won the award (Well done guys!)
The LIVE Awards showcases the outstanding companies, teams and individuals that make up the world-renowned entertainment industry and is the only event that brings together professionals from every part of the business.
We were recognised for our support of local talent through our ‘Fresh Catch’ nights, as well as our subsidised ticket scheme for 14-25-year-olds, as well as our Rehearsal Space Project which allows musicians to use the space for free for rehearsals, songwriting and other creative work.
Katie-Lou Green, Venue Manager at Docks Academy, added: “Being nominated for a LIVE Award is an incredible honour for Docks Academy. It’s a recognition of our commitment to fostering a vibrant music community in Grimsby and providing a platform for emerging artists. Since our opening during the pandemic, we’ve faced numerous challenges but remained resilient. We’ve welcomed nearly 50,000 attendees, hosted 400 events, and supported 2000 artists, including rising stars like Ever and Revivalry through our Fresh Catch initiative. We’ve made significant strides in accessibility and inclusivity, offering free tickets to young people and creating a welcoming space for all. We’re grateful to our team, artists, and community for their unwavering support. This nomination inspires us to continue bringing music and culture to Grimsby, putting our town on the map, shaping the future of the music industry and inspiring future generations.”
