covid-19 info - updated july 2021

Docks Academy wants to keep you updated on changes in our processes as Covid regulations relax from 19th July. We want to welcome you back as safely as we can to full capacity performances at Docks Academy and we shall be taking the following measures to deliver fantastic, safe events;

Please help us by abiding by these guidelines:

  • Please don’t come to our events if you have Covid symptoms, or believe you may have been exposed to infection. If you have purchased a ticket and are now suffering from Covid symptoms, or fear you may be an infection risk, please contact us.
  • We will not be operating a certification or NHS COVID pass scheme to enter our shows.
  • Please support the return of live events by taking a lateral flow test before attending a gig. 15 minutes of your time supports everyone’s safety #TakeaTest
  • Free tests are available from your local pharmacy or free home delivery here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
  • There will no longer be restrictions on group sizes or a requirement to sit at a table (except at seated shows). Our programme will revert back to full capacity, seated or standing depending on the nature of the event.
  • We will no longer provide table service. We ask all customers to revert back to making drink orders at the bar during the event.
  • Our staff have been encouraged to keep wearing masks. We encourage customers to do the same but if you choose not to you won’t be refused entry, but we’d ask that you respect other people’s choices to do so. If you are vulnerable, we strongly recommend that you wear a mask if you are able, and avoid close contact with those who have chosen not to wear a mask.
  • We will keep hand sanitiser points for you to use, and we encourage you all to keep up with thorough and regular washing of hands.
  • We will retain Track and Trace QR codes for customers to check in, but on a voluntary basis only.
  • Docks Academy will continue to keep the venue well ventilated with doors and windows open where we can to enable air to circulate the space. We also encourage you to use outdoor spaces before, between and after performances.
  • We will be deep cleaning the building regularly, and we will be using contact cleaning solutions which will reduce the risk of contact infections.
  • We will remain a Cashless venue. Card payments only please.
  • We recommend booking tickets in advance and this will continue to be a contactless service. Tickets purchased on the door will also be card payment only.

We want to thank you all for your constant support and consideration for our team, who’ve worked so hard over a difficult year. We are excited to now be moving forward, but please rest assured we’ll always do our best to keep you safe within government guidelines.
