covid-19 info

Our team is constantly observing government updates and public guidelines with respect to COVID-19. Your safety and that of our team is our primary concern at Docks Academy and we want to ensure that you have a worry free and relaxed experience. As things stand you will need to remain at your allocated table for the duration of the event, except when using the toilet facilities or in case of emergency. Bar staff will come to your table regularly to take your order. You will see in place; tables of no more than 6, social distancing for both guests and staff, regular cleaning of all tables and facilities, table service and a contactless payment system.

Please help us by abiding by these guidelines:

  • Do not come to Docks Academy if you have any COVID-19 symptoms
  • Remain at your table unless you need to use the toilet facilities or in the event of an emergency
  • Respect the social distancing guidelines
  • Wash and sanitise your hands
  • Wear a face mask at all times, unless seated at your table

NHS Test and Trace

By booking your tickets online you will have provided all necessary information to be part of the NHS Test and Trace system. The contact details you provide to SeeTickets may be passed to the NHS Test and Trace team, if they make a request to the data controller. This is to enable them to notify you of potential exposure to COVID-19. Docks Academy can also access this information upon request to assist us if we become aware of a possible COVID-19 case in the vicinity.

When can I arrive?

Docks Academy doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the show to allow a steady flow of customers into the event. On arrival, please follow the Docks Academy signage to the correct entrance before your tickets are checked. In the event of a queue, please respect social distancing at all times.

What will happen on arrival?

On arrival, our team will ensure all social distancing guidelines are adhered to whilst scanning your tickets. You will be temperature checked by staff wearing masks and will then be escorted to a table by a member of Academy staff. Once seated, please remain at your allocated table for the duration of the event.

How will you ensure a safe environment and allow for social distancing?

We have reduced the capacity of the venue to facilitate social distancing. Right now, it’s all about the rule of 6. Tables of 6 will be arranged with a 2 metre space around them so if you need to get out of your seat you will be more than 1 metre away from other guests. We request our customers remain at their allocated table unless you need the toilet facilities or in the event of an emergency.

Will I need to wear a mask?

You are now expected to wear a face covering before entering an indoor space and keep it on until you leave. We insist you wear a mask when entering, leaving or moving around whilst you are inside the vicinity. We are happy for you to remove your mask when you are sitting comfortably at your table.

How can you ensure the drinks will be delivered safely?

Instructions for ordering drinks will be available on your table. You must not go to the bar to order drinks yourself. Our Academy bar team will take your order at your table, you can pay contactlessly and staff will return with your drinks shortly after. All staff will be adhering to strict hygiene procedures and wearing masks at all times.

Will there be sanitising areas at the event for staff and customers?

We will have hand sanitiser stations on arrival, outside each toilet location, plus additional hand sanitiser on each table. All our staff will receive extensive training around the appropriate safety procedures for maintaining the highest levels of hygiene. This includes regular hand washing, as well as the use of appropriate levels of PPE when preparing, serving and delivering beverages.

Can I come for a pre or aftershow beverage?

You may have a drink at your Academy table in the 30 minutes prior to the show start time, but after the show finishes audiences are not permitted to hang around in the Academy. Audiences will be instructed to leave and guided to the exit as soon as the show finishes.

Should you wish to stay on the premises and drink, we advise that you book a table for your party in the Docks Beers taproom for a pre show or after drink. This can be done via Please note, tables in Docks Beers cannot be guaranteed, it is an option for those that would like to.
Tables booked in the taproom are available for 2 hour slots.

Be aware that Docks Beers and Docks Academy will be closing at 10pm to ensure we are doing our part in helping the government tackle the ongoing pandemic.
