We’ve got something special for house music fans this spring. The Decades Of House lands at Docks Academy on Saturday 2 May 2026, bringing together DJs, dancers and music lovers for a celebration of four decades of house music.
Headlining the event is house music royalty Graeme Park, who will be making a rare Grimsby appearance.
The event also marks a huge milestone for local DJ Dean Baker, who is celebrating 40 years behind the decks. Dean started DJing in 1986 at just 17 years old and has remained a constant presence in the local scene ever since. Four decades on, his passion for the music is as strong as ever — whether it’s a timeless classic or a fresh track lighting up dancefloors today.
To mark the occasion, Dean has teamed up with Docks Academy to create a very special event alongside some of his closest DJ friends. Expect a musical journey inspired by legendary local nights and venues including The Flam, Customs, The Waterfront, Chambers, Fused, Swish and Soulyrical — a celebration of the very best, always focused on the cooler side of house.
Running from 4pm to 11pm, this will be a daytime-to-evening session packed with great music, great people and plenty of memories from across the decades.
