RED HERRING COMEDY CLUB PRESENTS:
Rob Rouse, Eric Rushton, Simon Wozniak and Pete Otway
Doors open: 7:00pm
Start time: 8:00pm
The Red Herring Comedy Club is returning to Docks Academy on Saturday 11th September. Doors for the gig open at 7pm for an 8pm start.
One of comedy’s most lively, loveable and dynamic performers will be headlining the show. Rob Rouse won Channel 4’s Prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival way back in 1998. He’s one of our best comic storytellers and has performed all over the world. As seen on Upstart Crow, Dave’s One Night Stand, Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats.
Also on the bill is Eric Rushton, the winner of the prestigious 'Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year' award in January 2020. Eric has been mixing with the best newcomers on the comedy scene since 2014, impressing audiences with his intelligent, playful material and likeable, self-deprecating stage persona. He was also a Chortle Student finalist in 2016 and So You Think You're Funny? finalist 2017.
Simon Wozniak, one of the most hotly-tipped comedians by promoters and acts alike, will kick off the night. Simon can now be seen performing regularly at some of the biggest and best comedy clubs throughout the UK. While our MC will be Pete Otway, a former BBC New Comedy Award Finalist and the act who supported Lloyd Griffith’s appearance at The Church in March 2020.
Tickets are now on sale priced at £13.50 (when purchased in advance) or £15 on the door.
All of our ticket sales are handled by Seetickets.com. Seetickets’ policy is that all tickets are non refundable unless, during the checkout process, you pay extra to protect your tickets. In this event you will be able to claim a refund from Seetickets. Docks Academy is unable process refunds in all circumstances. Please note these events are for people aged 18 and over. Anyone aged under 18 will be refused admission and no refunds will be issued for tickets purchased for under 18s, whether or not ticket protection has been paid for. Note that the line up is subject to change.
Accessibility:
We are sorry to report that, due to Covid19's significant impact on our business, we are still not yet wheelchair accessible. Currently, the only way of entering the Docks Academy is via a flight of stairs. However, our mid term plans include a wheelchair accessible lift coming up to a new external balcony which will have level access to the venue, funding allowing. Please rest assured wheelchair access remains our highest priority and as soon as we have reopened with our non socially distanced programme we will look at this in earnest. We are grateful for your forbearance.
