Headlining May’s Red Herring Comedy Club night will be Eddy Brimson, an award-winning comedian who is one of the country's most sought after headline acts. He’s performed in comedy clubs and festivals all over the world, from Shanghai to Auckland, Edinburgh to Oslo, The French Alps and now King Edward Street in Grimsby!
Eddy has numerous TV and Radio credits to his name, including appearances on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Scotland’s Comedy Underground. Despite being English, Eddy was nominated for ‘Best Headliner’ by The Scottish Comedy Awards panel in 2018 and for Best Event at the Edinburgh Festival in 2019.
Kieran Ahern and Tom Dowling, aka Good Kids, are a double act that have been taking the Midlands and wider UK comedy scene by storm for the last few years and have been nominated for a bunch of awards. Kieran is the curvaceous one and Tom is the other one and they met in the playground at the age of 4. They're daft, weird and lairy and their alternative japes will have you howling!
“They're stupid, daft, at times nonsensical. Funny yes but daft as brushes. Just how I love my comedy. Thank the stars they went into stand up and not health care.” - Johnny Vegas
"It was mad but it was hilarious" - Tom Rosenthal
Romanian Radu Isac started doing stand-up a decade ago and decided to do his routines in English so his material could be understood by the Los Angeles open mic audiences. In 2015 he moved to London and after some appearances on the BBC, he became a professional comedian on the UK circuit. Over the years, Radu has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Stand Up express”, BBC Radio 4 and also BBC World Service.
MC-ing the night is Tom Toal, a comedian, writer and actor from South East London. Toal has been a regular performer at the Edinburgh fringe and his shows have received widespread acclaim and reviews. In March 2017, he also opened gigs for Rob Brydon for some of Rob's tour across the country.
