Formed in early 2016, Red Rum Club are a sextet from Liverpool, channelling ‘Tarantino-esque’ wild western vibes with the help of a solitary trumpet. Amongst the 80s Liverpool influence they deliver a modern twist of poetic yet catchy lyrics combined with melodies that blend to create the sound that is unmistakably, Red Rum Club.
The group consists of Francis Doran (lead vocals), Tom Williams (guitar, backing vocals), Michael McDermott (guitar, backing vocals), Simon Hepworth (bass guitar), Neil Lawson (drums, percussion), and Joe Corby (trumpet).
Since their Grimsby debut with us in January of 2022, Red Rum Club has been touring extensively, selling out numerous venues nationwide, including two nights at The Olympia, Liverpool (to over 4000 people!)
They have supported Circa Waves on a UK tour, headlined two UK tours with many sold-out shows, made their North America debut tour including several shows at SXSW 2022, and supported Miles Kane.
In 2022, following a summer of festivals, they returned to North America with 14 dates of headline shows. On return, they then embarked upon a sold-out UK & Ireland. This year already they have made their return to SXSW, plus played many summer UK festivals including IOW, Tramlines, Latitude, YNOT, and headlined their biggest local show with a sold-out Bootle Canalside outdoor show (3000 capacity)
Having just completed their 3rd USA tour supporting indie rock masters The Wombats (see poster), the band head out to the USA again in May next year and this follows their 4th studio album release (end of Feb 2024) and biggest UK headline tour finishing at M&S Arena Liverpool (11,000 capacity).
