beerlesque | 01.04.23

Join us for the first outing in 2023 of this magical night of laughter, cabaret and burlesque glamour on Saturday 1st April!

We guarantee a dazzling night of rhinestones, feathers and sassy strutting! With fabulous performances from four burlesque legends, fabulous costumes, under the watchful eye of your regular hostess Kiki Deville. If you’re looking for a totally different Saturday night experience, this is for you.

The acts on the evening are: Kiki Deville, Scarlett Daggers, Lilly Snatchdragon, Mat Ricardo, and Trixie Blue

red herring comedy club | 08.04.23

Red Herring Comedy Club returns on Saturday 8th April to once again showcase some of the finest joke writers and comedians currently on the UK circuit!

After taking a month break due to Lloyd Griffith’s mammoth six sold out nights in March, Grimsby’s best monthly comedy night returns as four comedians take to the stage; including the loud, sharp, and controversial headliner Gavin Webster, top comedy club featured comedian Sean Percival, the quirky and deft writer of finely crafted jokes Peter Brush, and Mc-ing for the evening is award winning comic Mick Ferry.

Did you know our Red Herring Comedy nights are sponsored by John Roe Toyota? If you are coming on Saturday the 8th, then keep an eye out for John Roe Toyota who will be there to show off their amazing range of cars.

propaganda club night | 15.04.23

Fans of Indie bangers and Pop-punk anthems… listen up! Propaganda Grimsby is back with their iconic club night at the Church on Saturday 15th April!

Expect singalong indie anthems from the likes of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Tame Impala, Pale Waves and many more. Indie not your thing? We’ve got you covered! How about some pop-punk from scene legends such as My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and Fall Out Boy.

The last few Propaganda events sold out ahead of their dates; including our Halloween Spooktacular and NYE Extravaganza. We expect the same this time!

Propaganda’s DJs have played at some of the biggest festivals and events in the world! Including Glastonbury, Big Day Out, Reading & Leeds and Benicassim.

grimsby institute music takeover 2 | 20.04.23

Music students from the Grimsby Institute for Higher Education will once again take over Docks Academy to showcase their bands on Thursday 20th April!

Supporting the next generation of musical talent, for a second year we will showcase music students from GIFHE for an event which gives a platform to the students and allows them to perform in an established venue.

At this free, open to all event, the students will perform in front of a crowd and gain essential stage experience. The evening will feature seven acts of various styles and genres, and music will range from covers of popular rock and indie tracks, rapping, and the students’ original music.

Free tickets are running low, grab yours whilst you can and support the next wave of local talent!

robert temple - the hypnotist | 22.04.23

The hilarious hypnotic universe of Robert Temple is heading to Docks Academy, Grimsby on Saturday 22nd April, as part of his ‘The Hypnotist: Red Raw’ show.

“The Hypnotist: Red Raw” is a brand new show where volunteers from the audience unlock their imaginations and create a once-in-a-lifetime show of improvised comedy under the influence of hypnosis – live on stage.

It’s the perfect night out whether you watch from the audience, or you choose to participate as a star of the show, this is a night out not to be missed.

We are expecting this show to sell-out ahead of the date. Tickets are priced at £14.50, plus the See Tickets commission. The age requirement for this event is 15+ (U18s to be accompanied).

oh my god! it's the church | 28.04.23

The Right Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson returns with his wild collective as Oh My God! It’s The Church make’s their second appearance at the Church on Friday 28th April!

They have had a monumental few years traversing the globe conducting their all-singing, all-dancing, party church service to hundreds of thousands of gleeful sinners; including appearances at major music festivals all over the UK including Glastonbury and Isle of Wight Festival.

In a world which increasingly feels like it’s falling apart and rife with division, Oh My God! It’s The Church are the medicine your soul has been craving. Prepare for the incomprehensible and get ready to fall in love. Welcome to a new musical religion for the 21st Century, one which brings the masses together, and baptises them in Absinthe.

Tickets are priced at £16, plus the See Tickets commission. The age requirement for this event is 14+ (U18s to be accompanied).
