red herring comedy club continues at Docks Academy in 2025!

The first Red Herring Comedy show of 2025 at Docks Academy takes place on Friday 7th February!

Adam Flood has appeared on ITV’s Stand Up Sketch Show and can be heard performing on BBC Radio 4’s comedy series of DMs Are Open. As an actor, he has performed in The Lunch That Called a Critic, which you can listen to on Spotify or Apple Books.

Since starting, Salisbury’s Sean Gorman, now based in London, has quickly proven to have a bright future in stand up. Displaying the stage presence of a more seasoned comedian, his deadpan delivery and self-deprecating humour has the audience hanging on every word.

Mark Simmons is an exceptional one-liner comedian. It won him a place in Dave’s prestigious Best Joke of The Fringe in Edinburgh 2017. His solo show at the festival, One-Linerer was also a huge hit, with sell-out shows every day and was nominated Best Show by the Amused Moose Comedy Award Fringe Show 2017.

MC for the evening is Lloyd Griffith, the comedy king of Grimsby!

hayseed Dixie Grimsby 2025

hayseed dixie return for another sold out show!

Hayseed Dixie return to Grimsby for another sold out show at Docks Academy on Saturday 8th February!

Hayseed Dixie began one innocent Summer day in 2000 when John Wheeler and Mike Daly drank roughly enough whiskey to float a battleship from the Florida Coast over to Portugal and back and decided to play around in John’s studio. Having spent the previous few years touring around with assorted country hat-acts, John had assembled a proper pile of recording equipment. Thus when he and Mike discovered in their drunken epiphany that the Lost Highway of Reverend Hank Williams and the Highway to Hell of Bishop Bon Scott were indeed the same identical stretch of tarmac, they were well and truly prepared to document this revelation in situ.

“I enjoyed this and… on further investigation… it’s not good… it’s fabulous!” – Brian May, Queen
“This is great! I can’t wait to get the royalty check!” – Gene Simmons, KISS

Tickets for this show are sold out! Check the Docks Academy Gigs Facebook group incase anyone is looking to pass on their tickets.
