Docks Academy is pleased to be hosting Brighton based noise-pop band ‘Sick Joy’, to Grimsby as part of The National Lottery’s Revive Live Tour, in association with the Music Venue Trust.
This event follows the success of Red Rum Club in January, which was part of the Revive Live initiative. This three-piece, comprised of Mykl Barton (guitar/vocals), Drew Michael (drums) and Danny Piston (bass) fuse malign heaviness with acidic melody then tying into place with the reigns of contagious pop.
Tickets are £8 + booking fee and are sold on a buy one get one free basis through Ticketweb below.

Errol Linton has been playing the Brixton Blues for nearly thirty years. He has his own take on the genre, playing reggae-inflected electric blues free of histrionic soloing. It is now widely thought he leads the best blues band in Britain. In the words of the late John Walters (the late John Peel’s celebrated producer) “Errol is as good a Harmonica player as anyone can reasonably hope to become, he is the real deal.” He has been featured on radio and TV and his two albums have become British blues milestones, regularly spun on the radio by Andy Kershaw and Paul Jones, and his band was rated by the late Charlie Gillett as one of the UK’s greatest live bands.
Tickets are now on sale priced at £17.50, plus See Tickets commission. The age requirement for this event is 14 plus. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
