September gets underway with PorkPie at Docks Academy on Friday 4th September.

One of the UK’s leading modern ska bands, PorkPie bring together the sound of classic 2-Tone with their own take on the genre. After a busy few years of releases and live shows across the country, they’ve built a reputation for a brilliant live set packed with ska, reggae and plenty to dance to.

If you’re a fan of The Specials, Madness, The Beat and the unmistakable sound of 2-Tone, this is a great way to kick off the month.

Dust off your boots – Country & Line Dancing returns to Docks Academy on Saturday 12th September.

Our afternoon day session runs from 1pm to 5pm, with country favourites old and new, line dancing and prizes for the best dressed. Whether you already know the steps or have never line danced before, everyone’s welcome to get involved.

DJ Steve will also be celebrating the music of Dolly Parton with a special musical tribute during the afternoon.

Grab your friends, get your boots on and join us for four hours of country music, dancing and drinks.

September ends with the return of Docktoberfest, taking over Docks Academy on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September, before one final date on Saturday 3rd October.

Our annual take on Oktoberfest brings Bavarian beer hall atmosphere to Grimsby, with live entertainment, plenty of beer and a room full of people in lederhosen and dirndls.

And yes, Oktoberfest really does start in September. The original Munich festival traditionally begins in September and runs into the first weekend of October, so we’re right on schedule.

Saturday 3rd October is already filling up fast, so if you’re planning on joining us for Docktoberfest this year, don’t leave it too late to get your tickets.
