Following on from our Electrifying fourth instalment of Fresh Catch, which saw Intercity, Riverwolf and M-Fatic perform fantastic sets to a packed Docks Academy, we are thrilled to present Fresh Catch 5, taking place on Saturday 4th May. This Fresh Catch is welcoming three bands from our region who are pushing to the next level of their musical careers: Mosaics, Ever, and Kid Spirit.

Fresh Catch is all about giving people the opportunity to hear new artists when they’re starting out or to catch a band from another part of the country that is on the up. It’s an awesome feeling to stand back knowing you’ve been there from their first shows and witnessed their growth into a recognised talent in the music industry.

Fresh Catch is a Docks Academy project which has successfully secured funding from Arts Council England. This vital funding helps us deliver on our commitment to support emerging artists, develop grassroots music at Docks Academy, build our youth audience, and improve accessibility.

MOSAICS fuse the best of the 90's Rock Revival with the shimmer of contemporary indie, observational lyricism, fuzzy tones and anthemic choruses.

With multiple global TV sync placements to their name, MOSAICS are making waves with features on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, ITV’s This Morning, BBC Introducing & Future Hits Radio. After beating over 5000 artists to the finals of the Hot Vox: New Blood Isle of Wight Festival 2023 competition, the band recently went on to support indie heroes Reverend and the Makers as part of their sold-out UK tour.

Drawing sonic influences from the likes of DMA's, Inhaler & Stereophonics; MOSAICS are setting their sights firmly on becoming future floor fillers at the indie disco and taking on festival stages worldwide.

EVER are a young energetic Alt-Rock band from Cleethorpes.

Comprised of Isaac heading up on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Mckenzie on lead guitar/backing vocals, Max on Drums and Connor on Bass. The band formed back in April 2023, and since then they have played multiple main stages, festivals, and venues including Docks Academy, where they supported SPACE on November 23.

The band recently recorded four original tracks at the award-winning Treehouse Studio in Chesterfield, with their debut single set to hit streaming platforms on February 2024.

Having already been played on BBC introducing, EVER has a strong fan base on social media, with millions of views online. Musical influences include Nirvana, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Green Day & Blink-182.

Kid Spirit is an alt-rock, synth-pop quartet from Lincolnshire, UK. After relocating from Sussex, Luke Parker (vox/keys) reformed the group in 2023 with a fresh new lineup by welcoming former band flames and friends alike, Steve Heather (bass), Lewis Duckworth (guitar) and Matt Bell (drums).

Reuniting from their former local indie noughties outfit ‘Old Arcadians’ Luke & Lewis wasted no time in getting to work crafting their sonics since the beginning of the year, allowing the full band to find its identity and come to life as a collective.

Released in September last year, ‘With You’ features the perfect snapshot of their sound. A bouncing tune with, uniform rhythm, driving guitars and soaring synths. Certainly for fans of ‘The Envy Corps’ and ‘The Boxer Rebellion’.

Now embedding themselves within the local gig circuit, with their first three hometown shows sold out, the band are ready to embark on a series of releases fresh from the studio.
