Want to hear the gossip from backstage and what goes on behind the scenes on a festival site? Of course you do! Come and listen to how to achieve that and more in conversation with Grimsby's very own music industry professionals.

Raven Twigg, Executive Promoter Assistant and Booker at Metropolis Music and Co-Founder of Women Connect UK.

Raven is a Northern soul based in London, and started her career in 2012 as a freelance music blogger based in Manchester. Raven went on to program 5 of the UK's largest arenas including Bonus Arena Hull, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester Arena and York Barbican. Raven has since moved to Metropolis Music where she has been involved with some exciting projects including a 10-day annual event, Somerset House Summer Series, and Cloud X Festival as well as headline tours with Björk, Jessie Ware, Goldfrapp, Janelle Monáe, Charli XCX, St. Vincent, Foo Fighters, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Christine and the Queens, KSI, Tyler, the Creator, Snoh Aalegra, Mika, Koffee, Wu-Tang Clan, and many more.

Harry Tidswell, Founder and Artist Manager at Steady Management for SOFY.

Harry is the artist manager of up-and-coming Indie-Pop artist, SOFY - who is best known for her song ‘Big Talk’ which features on the FIFA22 Soundtrack. Harry is also Director of Music, Gaming & Entertainment at Brainlabs - a digital marketing & influencer agency - and has launched global campaigns for the likes of David Bowie, Dua Lipa, and many more.

Previous experience also includes working at Universal Music and Festival Republic.

Paul Savage, Head of Entertainment Sales and Marketing - Bonus Arena, Hull at ASM Global.

Paul Savage was born and raised in Grimsby and still lives in northern Lincolnshire. After attending Nunsthorpe school, and later Caistor Grammar, he went on to study journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. It was here that his love and passion for music took over, Paul now works with ASM Global in their marketing team. In 2017 Paul led the pre-opening campaign of the Bonus Arena, Hull, a 3,500-capacity live entertainment venue which has hosted the likes of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Ne-Yo, Bob Dylan, Paloma Faith, Blondie, Catfish and the Bottlemen, JLS, Sarah Millican, The Offspring, Stereophonics, Corey Taylor, Sean Paul, Romesh Ranganathan and over 250 other events.

Emma Wragg, Festival Ticketing Manager at Festival Republic.

Emma grew up in the heart of Grimsby, and after attending Caistor Grammar School and Franklin Sixth Form College moved down to Cambridge where she worked in the hospitality industry for several years before returning to Grimsby to study for a degree in Business Management and Accounting through the Grimsby Institute. Her heart was always in live music and all the while carried out seasonal work for Festival Republic in the summer months alongside her full-time jobs, working on events such as Reading, Download, Latitude, Wilderness, Creamfields and Electric Picnic. After a period of time, Emma finally decided to make the leap into working full-time for Festival Republic where she currently holds the role of Festival Ticketing Manager.

This evening will be hosted by:

Kim Harrison, Radio Presenter, BBC Radio Humberside.

Self-proclaimed ‘gobby Grimbarian’ who’s very proud of her hometown, Grimsby. Kim describes her proudest moment as having her dreams come true when she became a radio presenter. Also being able to do so in the heart of her local community, with BBC Radio Humberside, has made it even more exceptional. Kim wants to be able to show the people of Grimsby and Cleethorpes that you can achieve your goals. ‘We may be a small town, but we have big ideas. With music, radio and media, our voices can be heard’.

Lee Welsh, Head of Music, Docks Academy.

Lee first started promoting small gigs for local bands In Grimsby during the late 90s while studying Music Technology at Grimsby College. He then went on to continue his studies at degree level at Hertfordshire University. During his time at University, he began working part-time for the students union’s events department. Over the years, Lee has worked his way up the ranks and has since promoted & co-promoted gigs with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Florence & The Machine, One Direction, Calvin Harris, Enter Shikari, Chase & Status, Pendulum, Stormzy & The Black Eyed Peas to name a few.

Lee has now moved back home to Grimsby taking on the role of Head Of Music & Promoter for Docks Academy.

There will also be a live performance from Hattie Cattell. Hattie is an Alt-Folk singer-songwriter based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Inspired by the likes of Jeff Buckley, Mark Lanegan and Laura Marling, Hattie's music and haunting voice explore honest, vulnerable lyricism.
