RED HERRING COMEDY CLUB PRESENTS:
Lloyd Griffith and Joanne McNally + a very special guest
Doors open: 8:30pm
Start time: 9:00pm
The Red Herring Comedy Club launches at Docks Academy with two socially distanced stand-up comedy shows on Wednesday 9th June. The second performance of the evening will start at 9pm (doors 8:30pm).
Lloyd Griffith and Joanne McNally are confirmed and they will be joined by a very special guest comedian whose identity will not be revealed until the night. However, we can say that they are a household name from the world of comedy, having starred on Live At The Apollo and Celebrity Juice.Â
Lloyd Griffith is no stranger to Docks Academy. The classically trained singer and former presenter of Soccer AM was the first ever act to perform at the Academy and was also the driving force behind last September’s hugely successful Comedy Lock-in nights. Fans of Lloyd can no doubt look forward to hearing some of his new lockdown inspired material!Â
Joanne McNally is an up-and-coming Irish comedian who was a semi finalist in the stand-up comedy competition So You Think You’re Funny, and her one-woman show Bite Me which she performed at the Dublin Fringe Festival earned rave reviews. Jo also regularly appears on Irish TV including the shows Republic of Telly, The Late Late Show and Ireland AM.Â
These events will be delivered with Docks Academy’s usual Covid-secure protocols in place. These include mandatory check-in on arrival, a contactless experience, restricted group sizes of no more than 6 and table service.Â
Tickets are now on sale priced at £15 per person (plus booking fee) and tables of two, four and six are now available.Â
All of our ticket sales are handled by Seetickets.com. Seetickets’ policy is that all tickets are non refundable unless, during the checkout process, you pay extra to protect your tickets. In this event you will be able to claim a refund from Seetickets. Docks Academy is unable process refunds in all circumstances. Please note these events are for people aged 18 and over. Anyone aged under 18 will be refused admission and no refunds will be issued for tickets purchased for under 18s, whether or not ticket protection has been paid for.
Accessibility:
We are sorry to report that, due to Covid19's significant impact on our business, we are still not yet wheelchair accessible. Currently, the only way of entering the Docks Academy is via a flight of stairs. However, our mid term plans include a wheelchair accessible lift coming up to a new external balcony which will have level access to the venue, funding allowing. Please rest assured wheelchair access remains our highest priority and as soon as we have reopened with our non socially distanced programme we will look at this in earnest. We are grateful for your forbearance.
