June’s Red Herring Club headliner is Andrew Bird who has been tour support for Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre on his recent arena tour including Wembley and the O2! He’s also a top headline act in his own right and has performed his show up and down the country and around the world. He’s written for TV shows such as Jon Richardson’s ‘Ultimate Worrier’, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Lee Mack’s ‘Duck Quacks Don’t Echo’ and is a regular guest on BBC Radio’s ‘The Rhod Gilbert Show’.
“Birdie supported me on my arena tour and made me laugh every night. A truly excellent comedian” - Michael McIntyre
Simon Lomas is regarded as one of the most exciting and refreshing new acts on the circuit. Already making big waves, this ungainly and socially awkward geek will doubtless go on to big things as his distinctive style is matched by superb jokes with a highly unique delivery. He’s already a multi-award winning act and is being widely talked about across the comedy industry – catch him now while you can!
In the last few years he’s won a sackful of awards including the Southport New Comedian of the Year, the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year, Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year, the Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and the Petfringe Comedian of the Year.
George Zach is a Greek comedian who has performed all over the world. He has appeared on TV for Good Morning Britain, One Show, Dave’s ‘Comedy Guide to Life’, Sky Arts and was the finalist in British Comedian of The Year in 2021.
“George is clearly a very funny guy” - Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Fringe.
Mc-ing the show is Danny McLoughlin, a Chester comedian who has been carving a name for himself across the circuit. Ever since his appearance in the 2008 Chortle Student Comedy Award Final, his quick wit and sharp material has seen Danny firmly establish himself as a sought after act on any stand up bill and a respected club MC. He’s performed at all of the major UK comedy clubs and festivals and was hand-picked to support a number of high profile acts on tour including Micky Flanagan, Sarah Millican, Doc Brown and Sean Lock.
