Headlining the show is Matt Richardson, a regular performer at all the major gigs in the UK and also a seasoned TV host. His first ever presenting gig was hosting The Extra Factor (ITV2) in 2013 alongside Caroline Flack at the age of 22 and he’s fronted numerous other shows since then. Matt has also appeared on countless other TV shows including Roast Battle & Drunk History (Comedy Central), Nevermind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Celebrity Juice (ITV2) and pretty much any ITV2 spin-off you can name! He was the host of Virgin Radio’s Drive Time Show for three years before leaving to focus on his true passion - comedy. He is currently the co-host of the new hit comedy podcast When No One’s Watching, with Matt Willis of Busted.

Joining Richardson on the bill is Lily Phillips, as seen on BBC3, All4, Comedy Central and ITV2. Lily was Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Runner Up, Funny Women Finalist and she was part of the prestigious Pleasance Reserve last year. Hear about her journey from cheerleader, to feminist, to dog mother.

Lou Conran is a high energy storyteller with an instinctive wit that has been wowing audiences and industry alike over the last 15 years. She is renowned on the international comedy circuits for her compere and hosting skills as well as being a favourite tour support for the likes of Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, Suzi Ruffell, and Puppetry of The Penis. A popular choice for festivals have seen her grace the comedy stages at: Latitude, Download, Kendal Calling, Wilderness, as well as internationally at Perth & Adelaide Fringe Festivals in Australia.

Lou is a highly requested TV warmup act for the likes of BBC, CBBC, and ITV. A critically acclaimed writer, she was part of the BBC Writers Room - Comedy Room in 2016 & 2017, and was their writer in residence in 2015 & 2016.

And MC-ing the night will be Barry Dodds, a Patreon creator, comedian, gamer, ghost hunter, minister, Erasure super fan, occasional boxer and co-presenter of The ParaPod. Barry has been serving up his chunky comedy soup since he was 21. He’s been a finalist in comedy competitions such as Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol & Jongleurs Last Laugh Comedy Search and supported comedians like Jason Manford on his UK tour. Jasper Carrott even called him “Very Impressive” once.

We are sorry to report that, due to Covid19's significant impact on our business, we are still not yet wheelchair accessible. Currently, the only way of entering the Docks Academy is via a flight of stairs. However, our mid term plans include a wheelchair accessible lift coming up to a new external balcony which will have level access to the venue, funding allowing. Please rest assured wheelchair access remains our highest priority and as soon as we have reopened with our non socially distanced programme we will look at this in earnest.
