HEALER (from Grimsby, Lincolnshire) are the band that Steve (vocals), Kirk (guitar), Dave (guitar), Tony (bass) and Jazz (drums) wanted to hear. Catchy, optimistic and reflective sounds with a touch of melancholy where appropriate. Haunting and melodic guitar tones with driven drumbeats and soulful vocal sounds make HEALER what they are. Reminiscent and resounding with originality and passion.

Their debut release ‘Hurricane’, is a powerful indie anthem about overcoming relational difficulties and finding strength within oneself. Mix the band’s dynamic playing style with uplifting lyrics and you’ve got a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience that is reminiscent of The Police and Joy Division.

The release has garnered high praise and a buzz in the local scene and has helped to get the band booked on different stages over the next few months as they continue to work on new music. HEALER have swiftly established themselves as a band to look out for in 2023 with more releases and live dates over the year and Docks Academy is thrilled to have them on the stage.

Fresh Catch is Docks Academy’s grassroots music night that gives a highlight to local musicians, and features artists from not only Grimsby and Cleethorpes, but also Lincolnshire, and beyond. This night is all about giving people the opportunity to hear new artists when they’re starting out or to catch a band from another part of the country that is on the up. It’s an awesome feeling to stand back knowing you’ve been there from their first shows and witnessed their growth into a recognised talent in the music industry.
