Docks Academy’s adventure into the beautiful world of burlesque is back after a little time away! Beerlesque is a showcase of the UK’s best modern burlesque artists who are the living embodiment of glamour, sophistication and empowerment. We guarantee a dazzling night of rhinestones, feathers and sassy strutting! With fabulous performances from four burlesque legends and fabulous costumes - this Burlesque show revives this classic art form with a glamorous new show. If you’re looking for a totally different Saturday night experience, this is for you. Expect a night like no other! The acts for your delectation will be:

STAGE DOOR JOHNNY

A flirtatious, lyrical lothario and seasoned comic raconteur with razor-sharp wit, he'll have audiences grinning, giggling and eating from the palm of his hand -sometimes literally. Johnny can be heard singing everything from Shirley Bassey to Guns ‘n’ Roses, as well as ridiculous self-penned medleys to surprise and delight! Stage Door Johnny is the resident host for Tres Tres cabaret in Stafford and La De Da Cabaret in Derby.

MISSY MALONE

Missy is a heady cocktail of 1950s bombshell and classic rock chick. A highly accomplished and sought-after performer on the UK burlesque scene Missy has shared the stage with some of burlesque's top names and has performed worldwide. As an already established actress and model she also commands an impressive list of skills and talents ranging from traditional fan dance to striptease and is trained in both static trapeze and stilt walking. With her stunning trademark look and jaw dropping routines it is but a matter of time before this femme fatale makes a lasting impression on the world stage!

KIKI LOVECHILD

Silent clown Kiki Lovechild has wowed international crowds with comedy and burlesque routines described by the press as ‘fantastically inventive’, ‘hot and humorous, ‘astounding’ and ‘burlesque with a difference!’. Best known in the UK for his puppet burlesque routines, Kiki is often referred to as the 'King of FURlesque'.

LILLY SNATCHDRAGON

Lilly SnatchDragon is an international, award-winning political comedy drag queen, burlesque artist and compere. Her approach to how the West stereotypes S.E Asian women won her ‘Best Newcomer’ at the London Cabaret Awards in 2015. She has been in the Top 10 ‘UK’s Most Influential Burlesque Performers’ since 2015, including No. 1 in 2017, and currently No. 16 in the world for 2024. Engagements include The English National Opera and Improbable Theatre production of ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’ at the London Coliseum, ‘Sound of the Underground’, written by Travis Alabanza, at The Royal Court Theatre, ‘The Grotteaux’ by Shotgun Carousel at Woolwich Works and most recently performing in Las Vegas competing at The Burlesque Hall of Fame 2024 for the ‘small group’ category, in which she won with her partner Mark Anthony. She is also one of the founders of sell-out show ‘LADS’ and of renowned all- Asian cabaret collective ‘The Bitten Peach’.

MARK ANTHONY

Mark Anthony is a London-based award-winning Drag King, boylesque performer and cabaret artist. Their work celebrates queer performance and inclusivity. Mark is the winner of Mr Boylesque UK 2019.

SCARLETT DAGGERS

This rock'n'roll redhead will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence and megawatt smile. From a flag wielding greaser-girl to a B movie Cobra Queen and even Robin Hood, Scarlett loves to inject a sense of fun into her femme fatale.

With 20 years’ experience on the cabaret circuit Scarlett has performed across the UK and Europe and produces regular shows in Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Cardiff and Leeds.
