On Friday 13 March, the volume goes up at Docks Academy as Kerrang Revival Band bring the golden age of Kerrang! TV to Grimsby.

KRB deliver a high-energy tribute to the era when rock, emo, punk and metal dominated bedrooms, iPods and festival fields. For anyone who grew up with the channel on in the background — discovering new bands, waiting for their favourite video to come back around, and arguing over which riff was heavier — this is your night.

Red Herring returns for its second show of 2026 with another standout line-up.

Headlined by Joey Page (BBC’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy), alongside sharp-tongued Brummie storyteller Jules O’Brian and fast-rising Norwegian comic Ingrid Dahle, who has supported Jen Brister and Desiree Burch on tour.

Award-winning MC Barry Dodds hosts the night, bringing two decades of experience and his trademark quick wit to the stage.

Bags Ball – also known to many as Melody Night – returns to Docks Academy for a one-off reunion, reviving one of Cleethorpes’ most iconic midweek nights out.

Original DJs and performers Steve Knight, Steve Rusling, Mash Baxter and Rachel Day are back behind the decks, lining up the club classics and singalong favourites that once filled the dancefloor week after week.

Inspired by Docks Beers’ Bags Ball wheat beer, this nostalgic celebration is a rare chance to step back into a true local legend — for one night only.

For over 25 years, the Foo Fighters have defined modern American rock, building a catalogue of era-shaping albums and huge stadium anthems.

Foo Fighterz (UK) deliver a high-energy tribute to the mighty Foos, covering everything from the raw 90s alt-rock beginnings to the anthems that made them one of the world’s biggest touring bands.

They’re joined by Geezer, celebrating the best of Weezer — from Buddy Holly and Say It Ain’t So to later fan favourites. Expect a full night of big riffs and bigger choruses.

Breaking through in 1995 with Are You Blue Or Are You Blind?, the band went on to score 14 hit singles and release six albums, becoming one of the defining names of 90s British indie.

Fronted by brothers Mark and Scott Morriss, alongside Adam Devlin and Eds Chesters, The Bluetones built a loyal following across the UK and Ireland — and beyond — before a short hiatus in the early 2010s.

Now firmly re-established as a powerful live act, they continue to tour their extensive back catalogue, bringing those unmistakable hooks and melodies back to the stage.

Ferocious Dog are a six-piece band blending Celtic folk and punk rock, sitting somewhere between Billy Bragg and The Levellers, with the fire and edge of bands like New Model Army.

They’ve headlined tours across the UK and Europe, played internationally in Kenya and Dubai, and appeared at major festivals including Glastonbury, Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory and Lowlands.

Their fifth studio album, The Hope, reached No.11 and No.31 in the Official UK Charts and climbed to No.1 in the Official Folk Chart, cementing their place as one of the leading names in the scene.

the rosadocs come to grimsby for a docks academy debut

The Rosadocs bring their anthemic indie/alt-rock sound to Docks Academy this March, joined by Leazes and Grimsby’s own Roulette.

Formed in Sheffield in 2017, the five-piece have built a loyal following through big guitar hooks, driving rhythms and emotionally charged songwriting. They’ve become a regular name on their hometown circuit, playing iconic venues including The Leadmill, and have stepped onto major festival stages such as Tramlines.

Support comes from Newcastle five-piece Leazes, known for their sharp, punchy take on modern indie. Fresh from winning the “Road to Hardwick” competition and earning a main stage slot at Hardwick Festival, they arrive with serious momentum.

To finish the month, we have Hue and Cry on a comeback show.

Brothers Patrick and Gregory Kane formed Hue & Cry in 1984, breaking through with Seduced and Abandoned and the Top 10 single Labour of Love. Follow-up hits including Looking for Linda and Violently cemented their place in late-80s and 90s British pop.

With over two million records sold worldwide, headline tours across the globe and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Music Awards, Hue & Cry remain a celebrated live act. Fresh from marking their 40th anniversary, they continue to perform in both duo and full band formats, revisiting a catalogue that has stood the test of time.
